Forthcoming CoursesThere is nothing currently planned.
I regularly conduct short throwing courses here at my studio near Talog, Carmarthenshire. As well as throwing I also teach hand building and Raku firing techniques. If no courses are detailed here you can contact me via the form on the contact page to find out when the next courses are planned.
As well as teaching here in Carmarthen I regularly conduct courses at La Perdrix near the village of St Martin de Riberac in the beautiful Dordogne area of south west France.
“Learning ceramics at La Perdrix is delightful and we have a great deal of experience delivering courses with many people coming back time and time again. There is plenty of studio space for everyone and it is fully equipped with a broad range of ceramic equipment, potters wheels both electric and momentum , slab roller, a variety of kilns, work benches, slip casting blunger, pug mill, glaze mixer and a well stocked clay and glaze store. We also have an excellent collection of Ceramic books for reference in the study. We keep group numbers small so there is plenty of one to one tuition, in fact La Perdrix is a haven for ceramicists and you will be surrounded by willing and giving experts. All the raku firings are done outdoors and you will be fully competent in the use of the kiln and both the decorative and firing process by the end of the course and will even learn how to build a kiln of your own for use at home. For the more experienced maker it is a chance to expereiment with new techniques and learn new skills.”
